| Forty-three years ago, the fire department purchased a 1983 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe to serve as an equipment truck.
Throughout its service, the truck was used for transporting equipment and personnel, converted into a brush truck, and fulfilled various other roles. It provided reliable service and will be missed by the department.
Due to newer members' unfamiliarity with manual transmissions, as well as the need for more modern vehicles, the department made the decision to retire the truck. The winning bid came from Greenville, West Virginia, and the department is pleased to be sending the vehicle to a good home. |
